Rating: - Good for a little girl
Very pretty setting. The setting is a little on the smaller side, but still nicely made. Genuine stones, very light setting, easy to get on and off but still secure once on and good 14K gold that wouldn’t hurt ears as cheap earrings do would make this a perfect gift for a young girl who would be very impressed to hear they are real rubies.

I got the earrings 25% off on a daily gold box deal and even though they are genuine stones and gold, I would feel that the original price of $99 is a little too much as it is such a light setting that if given for a gift to some adults, people may not realize the quality materials and think the earrings are worth less. At the discount price it is OK.

Update: I have actually found these earrings to be even more useful than I first realised and have actually ordered the emerald equivalent as well. I find them excellent for everyday. If you can get them on sale you have done well. I still stand by my prior comment though that if given to an adult they are so light they may think you have paid less for them than you have if you buy them at the full price.

These earrings are absolutely beautiful. They look like they should cost more than they did. They are very light when worn (which is good for the earlobe) but looks very substantial. I am very pleased with them.

Rating: - Very Nice Time Piece
This is a really nice swiss movement/parts watch for around a hundred bucks +/- a few dollars. Is it is Rolex? No, of course not but it is much nicer than the Kenneth Cole watches which is a much better comparison and the Kenneth Coles are much more expensive for this class of watch. I’m not sure what the complaints were about the instructions. It is really very simple to set. Just press the top/bottom buttons on the side for desired day and date after setting the center time. The military/2400 dial moves with the center dial once it is set. Just be sure not to set your clock between 10PM and 6AM or the military clock may not follow suit. As for the oversize wrist band, it is a simple process to remove a few links. If you are worried about doing it yourself, then take it to your local jeweler and they can probably adjust the band for you in less than two minutes for about five dollars. The only change to the watch that I would recommend is having the date/day/military dials a little larger for guys like me that wear glasses. Overall, the watch is a fantastic deal that you can’t go wrong with if you like watches. Invicta and Amazon both guarantee this watch for five years at no additional charge if you purchase it from Amazon. There is a reason for that, they expect it to keep working for much longer than that and so do I.

Rating: - Comment on watchband resizing
I have the yellow version of this watch…which I reviewed in July ‘07 and can be found at Invicta Men’s ll Collection Silver-Tone Yellow Dial Watch #4243 ; I was looking at this red version and noticed that one reviewer had a bad experience with resizing his band. I resized mine with Invicta’s watchband tool, and it pushed out the pins…that is, they were not screws, but pins [the direction to push the pins is indicated by an arrow on the band itself]. If this red version has the same band, then possibly that is why the reviewer had a difficult time…and possibly the jeweler did not realize they were pins.

Just something to consider…I’ll know better if I get this color!

Rating: - Built like a tank
Bought five of these to replace builder grade faucets. I wasn’t expecting too much for the price but I was very pleasantly surprised. These faucets are built like a tank. They have a very solid feel. It seems like the chrome is nice and heavy. Gunk wipes off easily and it shines like new.

I messed up and ended up having to call customer service for a part under warrantee. They shipped it out quickly and actually sent two! So, customer service is top notch.

Cons: I had to look long and hard to find any. The strainer that comes with it is simply that, a strainer. It does not close to allow the sink to fill with water. Since I wasn’t expecting a strainer, I was fine with that. Another point is that they have a somewhat contemporary look. Of course, I knew that by the pictures and it is a matter of personal preference. And, finally, the last con is that they are not 2.0 gallon/minute water saving flow. Under 80psi, they operate at 2.5gpm! But, the flow seems even stronger. The aerator works very well.

Installation was as easy as any faucet. (I hate plumbing with a passion but it was as painless as I could hope!)

Overall, I highly recommend this faucet.

Rating: - Gold box deal - nice faucet. for the price..
I bought a pair of these to replace some very old dual translucent knob faucets. They were forty dollars each as part of an Amazon gold box deal.

The installation was straight forward and took about 30 minutes each (most of the time spent removing the old faucets.) The drain piece which comes with them only has a screen over the top - there is no plunger to stop up the drain if you want to fill the sink. The single handle moves smoothly and is guided to the center when you turn off the faucet.

For the gold box price, they serve the purpose, look nice, and clean up easily (my kids tend to get toothpaste all over them.)

Rating: - Ceiling fan is a breeze
The fan installed quite easily and all parts were included along with very clear instructions. The most important and time consuming step was the preparation of the ceiling box for mounting the fan. Determine the fan’s location and size up the work you will need done to mount the thing before you order.

After you receive the package DO NOT assemble the fan until you are ready to mount it! The assembled unit will be in the way of your work to prepare the ceiling fixture.

Hanging the fan to the prepared ceiling box went smoothly.

They provide long wires to accommodate extensions lengths from the ceiling. I mounted my unit directly to the ceiling and had to trim these wires to fit. The wiring diagrams are very clear and the was not a problem.

The remote works very well and the fan is very quite. I would buy this again. No regrets.

Rating: - Hunter Palermo
The fan works good very quiet but installlation was a challenge, heavy and too many wires to fit in the cup. I was not thrilled with the energy light saving bulb it feels too cold. Overall is a good fan but I felt like I paid too much for it when I saw it selling on Costco for $50.00 less than what I paid at Amazon.

Rating: - Quality for the fan is great, but the manual is another story
I guess I should have had help from someone when I was installing this fan, but I proceeded anyway.

Overall, the quality of the fan after the installation seems to be exellent. It looks better than the stock picture once installed. Since this was the first ceiling fan I have ever bought and installed by myself, all alone, I cannot compare it with any other brand or ones within other price range. But, again, overall, I would recommend others going for it.

Something to warn by the way.

If someone who has never had any experience installing any ceiling fan, be aware of the included manual. It’s an absolutely horror to person like that. I had to look over and over for wiring diagram, and hooking the fan to the fixture. No reference can be found on Hunter’s website, so no help from that either.

Anyway, I was able to finish up the job, but again, if someone wants to install it alone, at least ask someone who had experience or have one more person next you to install it.

Rating: - Works great - but no dimmer available
This fan is great - we purchased it for the energy savings rating, not realizing that meant it was flourescent and the electrician said you can’t use a dimmer switch with a flourescent. That’s the only downfall - either on or off when it comes to the light. And you have to use the remote, which in our house with 2 men, will never last, though they said we could super-glue it into the holder…time will tell if this is necessary! Anyway, other than that, it’s a great fan - very quiet, looks great.

Rating: - Great measuring tool, but here is something you should know…
This is a really neat device that measures accurately to within 1/16th of an inch over 165 feet. So does the Bosch DLR165K. As a matter of fact, they are the same unit- one is yellow, one is Bosch blue. The Bosch can be purchased for less- in some cases, much less. Look for the best price before you buy.

I bought this because I was having difficulty installing long pieces of crown molding - getting the length right. I do this alone, without a helper. So far (1 month) this device works like a charm. Perfect cuts every time. Easily accurate to 1/16″. Small, great functionality.
